High end selected, full grain cowhide seat and padded knee flaps with a natural light finish to preserve softness, maintain shape and requires minimal break in. The flaps are a full weight  grained cowhide ( not two thin layers sewn together) for longer wear and durability. Saint Lourdes is one of the few saddlers worldwide that owns their own tannery.  They are able to stay in complete control of the consistancy of the tanning process and color of their leather.  100% vegetable tanned,  this extends the life of the leather and protects it from drying and cracking.  Built on a spring tree specially treated to avoid any absorbtion of moisture. The bottom panels are top grade "Aniline" finished leather over foam, which is not bound by layers of paint that is usually used by many saddle makers to cover hide flaws. The finish is soft and will give comfort to both the rider and horse. The seat is medium deep with a wide seat. The padded flaps are moderately forward with a pencil knee roll. The Tango is a fabulous youth saddle for the money. .
